Funding Boost to Leverage Intelligent Community - 4 October 2012

The announcement of $55,000 funding by Regional Development Australia-Grampians (Courier 16th November) is indicative of the importance being placed by government and community stakeholders on the adoption of technology. The funding by State Government complements the substantial commitment of $820,000 Australian Government and $44,000 local government investment in the Central Highlands Digital Enterprise project. It's about creating an 'intelligent and digitally savvy' region. More

Golden Plains Delivering Local, Growing Global - 1 October 2012

Helping businesses across Golden Plains benefit from the arrival of the National Broadband Network is the aim of a partnership initiative being driven by the University of Ballarat, Golden Plains Shire Council, and the Australian and Victorian Government. The Central Highlands Digital Enterprise project is providing free workshops, training, and individual mentoring to businesses and not-for-profits across the Ballarat, Golden Plains, Pyrenees and Hepburn municipal areas.
