The 2012 rise in Ballarat domestic overnight and day visitor numbers, estimated at 19.9% and 3%, is founded on a decade of collaborative effort between government and operators.
Ballarat Regional Tourism operators, state and national tourism associations, are continuing their work to grow visitor numbers. Ballarat could grab a better share of the $35.5billion injected into regional tourism destinations in 2012 by domestic visitors.
